Vital Parts have been going from strength to strength over the past 10 years and Holt Digital Marketing have played a large part in their success by improving their SEO. They now have become one of the biggest players in the component industry and they needed a website which would reflect that. They had separate sites for desktop and mobile which was negatively affecting their Google rankings. They asked Holt Digital Marketing to improve their existing site and make recommendations on how they could improve the user experience for their customers.
Vital Parts have over 100,000 components so it was imperative we made the navigation as simple as possible for the user. First and foremost, we wanted to make the search bar central to the whole design. The left-hand menu had always been effective on desktop but it wasn’t mobile-friendly so we redesigned the menu and made improvements for the user so they could browse through the different ranges without having to click to the next stage. We also wanted to significantly improve the product pages and make it easier for users to find alternative sizes – especially if they had come directly to a product page via a Google Shopping Ad.
The new website retains the best elements of the old website but is mobile-friendly, more modern, utilises the full width of the screen, has user experience improvements throughout the site, and has sophisticated UI animations to elevate the brand and put Vital Parts firmly as the leader of the component industry.
